Bodywhys New Website

In short, Western Webs have extensive experience with the Charity sector in Ireland. In fact, we manage the online fundraising platforms www.idonate.ie and www.ifundraise.ie. We also manage charity websites for several other charities in Ireland. This experience gives us a great advantage when it comes to redeveloping the website for Bodywhys – The Eating Disorders Association of Ireland .

Western Webs task was a complete redesign of www.bodywhys.ie. Their previous website was built on a custom CMS system which was no longer in use. We set out a plan to migrate several hundred pages of important content to WordPress CMS. We set out to add many new features including a Services directory, resources library. Also  improved the overall navigation structure of the website.

The largest part of this project was developing of a custom Online Support Group system. We developed a bespoke full stack chat room system for Bodywhys service users.  The software allows users to take part in schedule meetings online. Developed using NodeJs,  AngularJS with MongoDb.
